What was your first impression? My wife Julie found CrossFit Apogee before the box opened and they were still in the field outside.  Julie enjoyed Apogee but I did not initially wish to rain on her parade so I waited until she suggested that I give it a try.  I was hooked the moment that I started.

What was your first impression? I had never really heard of CrossFit when I started.  Sure, I saw people flipping tires at the park a few times but never gave it any thought.  I’m a huge Apogee fan!  From the very beginning, Apogee was perfect for me.  The atmosphere was/is very positive and I really like how everyone is friendly and cheers each other on.

What was your first Bright Spot (or something you were happy you finally did)? The Olympic lifts were pretty scary at first.  I grew up on bench, curls, and back squat.  I feel better about my form, strength, and technique now.  I have set some goals for myself as far as one rep max and I’ll let ya know……maybe even ring a bell or two soon.

What changes have you noticed in yourself since you joined Apogee? I may be stronger now than I have ever been.  It’s hard to remember my 20’s but I know that I’m stronger now than at any time in the past 25 years.

What is your favorite Apogee memory? My favorite Apogee memory was not at Apogee.  I got hurt about two years ago and spent a week in ICU.  During that time, the Apogee family was there for my wife, Julie.  When I came home, the Apogee family had mobilized and they brought home cooked meals to us until we begged everyone to stop.  I will never forget that and am forever grateful to all of you!
