What brought you to CrossFit?
I first heard about Apogee while doing a family 5k at the seafood festival in Apollo Beach. I was a little nervous at first because CrossFit was completely different from the conventional workouts & gyms that I was accustomed to. However, after the first on-ramp class I was hooked and more then confident that it was exactly what I needed to achieve my fitness goals.

What was your first impression? 
If I had to sum it up in one word it would be “Family!” The coaches, staff, and fellow members are amazing! The coaches always take their time to make sure you use proper form, make themselves available to answer questions, give you tips on how to achieve your goals in and outside the box, push you to do better each day, and somehow make even the most difficult workouts fun, leaving you wanting to come back for more.

What was your first Bright Spot (or something you were happy you finally did)? 
My first accomplishment when starting Crossfit was defiantly box jumps. I could ride the craziest rollercoasters, bungee jump, parasail, but for some reason jumping from the ground onto a box was the most nerve racking experience EVER! Each day I’m amazed and proud of all the things that I have accomplished that were never even on my radar before CrossFit came into my life.

What are you working on now? 
Everything, there is so much room for improvement. My goal is to simply give each workout my all and aim to be better today than I was yesterday.

What is your favorite Apogee memory? 
There are too many special memories made at Apogee to try and pick just one. Watching my mentors compete at various competitions and participating in Friday night lights are on the top of the list, but I would have to say the friendships made over the years are my most cherished memories of all.
